⚡️New in HiTide: Email Collection Campaigns Made Easy
We've just released a big update with massive improvements to our email collection campaigns.
While SMS is still our main priority, we know that in some regions and use cases, like collab campaigns, email collection is key.
Previously, setting up email collection required some back-end help from our team.
Now, everything is 100% self-serve, super easy to use, and hooks right into Klaviyo. New email signups will be sent immediately to your Klaviyo welcome flow.

Easy as that!
We’re extremely excited about making email collection campaigns more accessible and powerful for you. Enjoy!

Our friends over at Klaviyo published an excellent guide on going from zero to hero with SMS marketing. Here they walk you through everything from the basics of getting a list setup, all the way to advanced segmentation techniques.
I especially loved this basic checklist for what to include in a text message:
- Your company name
- A time-sensitive offer
- An element of personalization
- A shortened link—which can be customized for your brand
- A STOP unsubscribe reminder, if it’s your first message or you haven’t included one in the last 5 messages/1 month
In a wild story coming from the UK, two people were arrested after setting up a fake mobile carrier network with homemade antennas to send people spam SMS messages.
This sounds like an episode of MacGyver.
Who else is fashioning makeshift antennas? Anyway, can’t say I recommend this as an ecomm growth strategy.
This tweet from Michael Rathman is a great reminder to start your SMS list.
It’s barely summer here in New York so thinking about BFCM already is kinda weird but hey, I don’t make the rules.
In my opinion, the best time to build a list is before, during, and after Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Continuous list growth means continuous opportunities to connect with your customers who are on the lookout for deals during that stretch.
Until next time!
