I recently had the opportunity to participate in a Masterclass seminar held by Sajag Agarwal of Movley.

Browser and privacy restrictions are making deliverability and targeting harder across almost every other channel, but SMS is still golden!

Speaking of……
Alitura, was founded by Andy Hnilo following a life-changing car accident, has evolved from a personal project into a thriving skincare brand. With over 30k Instagram followers, Alitura has a strong community but faced the oh-so-common challenge of erratic social media reach.
Alitura, in collaboration with their Email & SMS agency Emailtize, embraced the power of SMS marketing through HiTide to ensure direct and reliable communication with their audience.
The Strategies
Alitura centered their campaign around an Instagram giveaway post. Followers could enter to win free products by commenting with Alitura's signature "⚡️" emoji.
Asking for post engagement significantly boosted distribution and social proof, getting the offer in front of more fans. Participants instantly received a personalized entry DM, bringing the opt-in conversation directly to their inbox.
Using HiTide's Postscript integration, Alitura converted a majority of these DM conversations into SMS subscribers, without ever asking them to leave Instagram.
The Results
The majority of participants who triggered Alitura's automated DM flow ended up opting into SMS. Impressively, 77% of these opt-ins were net new or reactivated subscribers.
Using HiTide, Alitura acquired new SMS subscribers at an effective cost of just $0.88 each. In the 3 weeks after the campaign, they saw a remarkable 49X ROI on downstream Shopify orders.
52% of post-campaign subscriber purchases came from net new SMS subscribers who weren't on Alitura's list before the giveaway. These new subscribers also had an average order value 105% higher than Alitura's typical AOV.
