It’s about the customer’s timing, not just yours
We all know timing matters for when to send text messages but it’s important to pay attention to the unique specifics of your customer base.
Loved this anecdote from Commerce Times featuring Vibes Co-Founder Alex Campbell, about using data analysis to figure out the best time to send messages.
Here’s an example: for new moms, data revealed that the ideal time for sending messages was between 7 and 7:15 pm.
“The retailer started doing it and saw the response increase double. Why? New moms put their kids to bed at that time and sat down to shop. So, what AI did was look at the data to find what you should be doing,”
Makes you think - how are you choosing when to send what messages?
For sure there’s an AI play here (I know thats a reality for some of the platforms already).
Own the audience or you lose
Your brand might attract tens of thousands of website visitors and rack up hundreds of thousands of page views, while your Instagram following could be in the same ballpark.
But if you’re not capturing this exposure effectively, you’re missing out on major value.
Loved this tweet from Michael Rathman on why it’s important to turn that exposure into an owned audience.
Just as capturing email addresses on your website is a helpful strategy, using HiTide to convert your Instagram followers into an owned SMS list is equally important.
